General Manager - The Lark The Lark Bar is a neighborhood bar with regulars local sports and a fine selection of spirits. Our customers are generally people stopping in after work and those visiting from nearby hotels. If you are a character and want to be part of a small and close-knit team a role at The Lark Bar may be for you. The General Manager is ultimately responsible for all bar operations. You should be able to work independently effectively communicate managerial objectives effectively complete detail-oriented administrative tasks and manage a team in a fair manner. Success in this position requires speedy completion of administrative duties and strong attention to detail. The General Manager will report directly to the Operations Director.ResponsibilitiesMaintain inventory controlsCreate cocktail menus under the direction of the Beverage DirectorDetermine employees schedules and manage labor costsEnsure bar is well-stocked and cleanTrack customer behavior and salesMaintain budget and monitor beverage costsOversee planning for special eventsLiaise with the events teamAppropriately delegate tasks to staffPurchase liquor and other suppliesOversee staff including bartenders and barbacksHire train promote and when necessary discipline staffProvide input on décor and marketing including social media and other forms of publicityQualifications2 years of Managerial experience in a bar is prefferedRecord of critical thinking skillsStrong interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and good organizational skillsCustomer service focusKnowledge of food beverage and hospitality industriesCalm under pressureComfortable with hospitality and sales technology platformsFamiliarity with Craftable Yelp Restaurant Manager and Square for Restaurants is nice but not requiredDegree in business management hospitality or equivalent is a plusBenefitsCompensation$24-$30/hr depending on experience tips Company-sponsored medical/dental/vision benefitsCommuter check tax benefitsMatching 401(k) after the first yearResumes without a cover letter stating why youre interested and why you might be a good member of our team will not be considered.Future Bars Group is an at-will equal opportunity employer.
