General Motors Diesel Technician at Herb Jones Chevrolet GMC

htmlFull Job DescriptionWe are looking for a General Motors Diesel Technician to join the Herb Jones Chevrolet GMC team in Elizabethtown KY. The ideal candidate will have a strong service technician background with GM certification preferred. Day-to-day duties involve performing work on specific repair orders diagnosing needed repairs and utilizing diagnostic tools and special service equipment. Compensation ranges from $28.00 - $42.00 per hour paid weekly.ResponsibilitiesPerform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer requirements.Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.Diagnose maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine transmission electrical steering suspension brakes air conditioning etc.Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.Complete and maintain manufacturer-required training as well as ASE Certifications.Requirements2 years of Service Technician experience preferred.High school diploma or equivalent ASE Certification required.B level qualifications including Diagnostic Electrical and Engine Repair.Dexterity requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.Mechanical and troubleshooting skills with ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.Positive friendly attitude along with an eagerness to improve.Enjoy working in a dynamic environment.Team player with ability to collaborate effectively with others.Ability to learn new technology repair procedures and specifications.Valid drivers license and clean driving record.BenefitsMedical and dental insurance401k PlanPTO (Paid Time Off)Life insuranceShort-term disabilityGrowth opportunitiesEmployee discountsAbout the CompanySince 1969 Herb Jones Chevrolet Inc. has been trusted to take care of all your automotive needs.
