General Practice - Physician at Indian Health Service - Veterans Engineering
Job Description
Veterans Engineering is seeking a Board-Certified Family Practice (FP) or Internal Medicine (IM) Physician to provide outpatient primary care services at an Indian Health Service facility in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a full-time, contract position with an initial 3-month commitment and the potential to extend up to 1.5 years or longer.
Key Details:
- Start Date: As soon as onboarding is complete
- Assignment Duration: 3 months with an option to extend
- Work Schedule: 4 ten-hour shifts/week (specific weekday off to be confirmed closer to credentialing completion; likely Tuesday or Wednesday)
- Call Requirements: None
- Setting: 100% Outpatient
- Patient Volume: 12–15 adult patients per day
- Ages Treated: Adults only
- Case Types: Standard outpatient care, including chronic illness management
- Procedures Required: None (minimal gynecology—PAPs and pelvic exams only when symptomatic; no suturing)
- Support Staff: Collaborative team including physicians, mid-level providers, RNs, and specialty physician support
- EMR System: RPMS
- Credentialing Timeline: Approx. 4–6 weeks
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (Board Eligible not accepted)
- Active DEA license (schedules 2–5, fee paid)
- BLS & ACLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association)
- Any active U.S. state medical license accepted
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience. Travel and lodging support available if applicable.
