General Production Worker

This role involves operating a punch press machine by inserting flat, light metal plates and using a foot pedal to punch metal caps or lids. Once completed, parts are pushed into a bin and new pieces are inserted into the machine. The work can be repetitive and requires attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate a punch press machine efficiently and safely.
• Insert and remove metal plates, ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Assist in various departments such as shipping, assembly, and packaging as needed.
• Perform miscellaneous shop duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience with punch press operations.
• General labor and assembly skills.
• Proficiency with hand tools and general production techniques.
• Minimum of 6+ months of manufacturing experience or entry-level high school graduates.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a punch press is advantageous.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to different tasks.
• Punctuality and the ability to take direction and work diligently.

Work Environment

Work in a small metal shop with close to 15 employees, expanding by an additional 5,000 sq feet soon. The shop is currently a bit cluttered but will have more space once the expansion is completed. Enjoy a blue-collar atmosphere with a typical small shop sense of humor. The owner is hands-on and participates in floor work.

This is a permanent position based out of Maple Lake, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
