General Production Worker

We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to join our team. In this role, you will split your day between the paint line and various GFab tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

Shifts available:

1st shift: $18 6am- 2:30 Mon- Fri

2nd Shift: $19 3:30- 2am Mon- Thursday

OT available

Responsibilities:

• Operate on the paint line, preparing pieces by taping sections and filling holes as needed.
• Use hand tools to remove cut pieces from steel sheets and conduct visual inspections.
• Perform deburring and grinding to smooth out edges and welds, preparing pieces for painting.
• Engage in straightforward assembly using hand and power tools.
• Remain flexible and open to learning new tasks and roles within the plant.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Flexibility to learn new tasks and collaborate as a team.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in metal fabrication is a plus.
• Machine operating experience is advantageous.

Work Environment:

Our facility is a standard manufacturing environment with mild temperatures, except for the warmer paintline area during summer. The plant has a typical level of noise from machinery and a moderate level of cleanliness common in metal fabrication settings.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Batavia, IL.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
