General Production Worker

As a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for measuring and cutting industrial belts to precise specifications using tape measures and other measuring tools. You will assemble belt kits using hand tools while following detailed work instructions. Additionally, you will lay out belts on work tables, inspect materials for quality and accuracy, and prepare completed belt kits for packaging and shipment. Maintaining a clean and organized work area and adhering to all safety protocols is essential. Collaboration with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and timelines is also required.

Responsibilities:

• Measure and cut industrial belts to precise specifications using tape measures and other measuring tools.
• Assemble belt kits using hand tools and follow detailed work instructions.
• Lay out belts on work tables and inspect materials for quality and accuracy.
• Prepare completed belt kits for packaging and shipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and timelines.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in a production or warehouse environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and utilize hand tools.

Work Environment:

The work environment is with a smaller warehouse team of 8-10 people. The dress code includes work-appropriate jeans, t-shirts, and steel-toed boots. The shift is Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4 pm, with occasional Saturdays starting at 7:30 am and working for 4-8 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Urbandale, IA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
