JOB DESCRIPTION

General Production Worker

We are looking for full-time Production Associates to join our expanding team in Delaware. As we continue to grow, especially in our Wall Panel division, we need more hands to fulfill customer orders. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude and hand or power tool experience, we are willing to train you in our processes.

Responsibilities

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Walk and/or stand for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally bend, squat, and/or stoop.
  • Use manual and finger dexterity as required for daily job duties.
  • Frequently work near or around moving mechanical parts.
  • Work in a high noise environment.
  • Be exposed to airborne particles.
  • Assist in constructing wood-framed wall panels.
  • Assemble Open-Web Trusses.
  • Set up and operate machinery like punch press, pinner, gluer, and drills.
  • Use tools such as circular saws, nail guns, and staple guns.
  • Assemble construction accessories for framing packages.
  • Read product design paperwork and plans.
  • Input information into computers to track materials and work orders.

Essential Skills

  • Comfortable working with a tape measure throughout an 8-10 hour shift.
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in solving/fixing/repairing mechanical equipment or machinery.
  • Proven ability to use hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Safety and quality conscious.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to read and understand shop details and job instructions.
  • Willingness to work overtime when scheduled.
  • High School Diploma or GED (not required but a plus).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish (not required but a plus).
  • Automotive manufacturing management experience is a plus.
  • Custom engineered wood manufacturing work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and Oracle.

Work Environment

Join a leading provider of engineered wood products and construction systems in North America. Our work environment includes wood processing and manufacturing operations, occasionally exposed to varying weather conditions. Most work is performed in non-climate-controlled environments. Our facility comprises multiple production buildings with departments for Production, Engineering, Quality, and Fabrication, as well as warehouses for shipping, receiving, and material storage. The team includes roughly 100 employees, with room to expand to a second shift in the future.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
