JOB DESCRIPTION

General Production Worker

As a General Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by transferring, stocking, loading, and unloading materials for the production lines. You will work with a variety of materials including diffusers, holders, retainers, initiators, o-rings, end caps, sleeves, canisters, filters, tubes, disks, foil seals, springs, support barrels, shorting clips, labels, and generant. Additionally, you may be required to check, correct, or perform rework on inflators and perform quality procedures and audits, including dimensional checks.

Responsibilities

  • Transfer, stock, load, and unload materials for production lines.
  • Work with materials such as diffusers, holders, retainers, initiators, and other components.
  • Check, correct, or perform rework of inflators as necessary.
  • Conduct quality procedures and audits, including dimensional checks.
  • Perform visual inspections and quality assurance tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours per day.
  • Comfortable handling explosives.
  • Technological proficiency with automated equipment.
  • Capability to lift, push, or pull 40 lbs regularly.

  • Mechanical aptitude for potential advancement into maintenance roles.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment equipped with automated production equipment for making airbag inflators. Employees must comply with safety protocols, which prohibit lighters, matches, cigarettes, chewing tobacco, vape pens, or e-cigarettes on site. Shifts are structured with three options: 1st shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, 2nd shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, and 3rd shift from 10 PM to 6:30 AM. The first workday is always on a Tuesday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, followed by assigned shift hours. Employees should be prepared for a 6-7 day work week with rotating days off to ensure equal opportunity for weekend rest.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Queen Creek, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.55/hr.
