The UnityPoint Clinic team is known for excellence and quality patient care putting patients at the center of their care to provide the best level of health and well-being.Join a dynamic and collaborative general surgery team in a growing specialty line as an Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP)Highly motivated and skilled APP to support our dedicated general surgeons in providing exceptional patient-centered care.Patient-focused team providing high-quality care in a dynamic inpatient setting with flexibility to float to the outpatient clinic when needed.Fully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordinationResponsibilitiesFull-Time opportunityPrimarily in patient-focused will be inpatient general surgery patientsOR surgical first assist inpatient rounding post-operative management and discharge planningConduct independent assessments and manage pre-/post-operative careInpatient census 8-15 patientsInterpret imaging and lab results; develop and coordinate follow-up treatment plansOutpatient clinic as neededEvening and weekend call coverage as needed.Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary staff to ensure quality patient outcomesQualificationsLicensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantBoard Certified12 years of experience preferred in an inpatient or surgical specialtyLicensed (or eligible) in the state of IowaDEA and prescribing authority in IowaMust be eligible to work in the U.S.We Offer:Competitive compensation packageAttractive incentive packageA competitive Total Rewards program offers benefits that align with your needs and priorities no matter what stage of life you are in.
