The Physician follows federal/state laws and regulations to ensure excellent patient relations. The Physician will be responsible for the evaluation and management of patients with urological disorders, including, but not limited to, the performance of cystoscopy, transurethral surgeries, nephrectomy, vasectomy, varicoceles, advanced pediatric surgery, pyeloplasty, epispadias, and hypospadias repair. Effective communication with other physicians, staff, and patients is crucial in this position to ensure that patient needs are met efficiently and effectively.What you will be doingDiagnose or treat diseases or disorders of genitourinary organs and tracts, including erectile dysfunction (ED), infertility, incontinence, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, and urethral stones.Order and interpret the results of diagnostic tests, such as prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening, to detect prostate cancer.Perform abdominal, pelvic, or retroperitoneal surgeries.Examine patients using equipment, such as radiograph (x-ray) machines and fluoroscopes, to determine the nature and extent of disorder or injury.Treat lower urinary tract dysfunctions using equipment such as diathermy machines, catheters, cystoscopes, and radium emanation tubes.Prescribe or administer antibiotics, antiseptics, or compresses to treat infection or injury.Treat urologic disorders using alternatives to traditional surgery such as extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, laparoscopy, and laser techniques.What you will bring to the teamCurrent DEA LicenseCandidates must be board-certified/eligible in UrologyCurrent California Physician LicenseCompletion of a residency program in urologyUnio Advantage:Competitive SalaryComprehensive Benefits401(k) MatchingRelocation assistanceCollaborative work environmentClinical AutonomyCompensation depends on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, which may fall outside the range shown.Additional Incentives:Sign-on BonusPartnership opportunityProductivity BonusShared Ancillary RevenuePotential ASC OwnershipCandidates must be board-certified or board-eligible, hold a California license or be eligible for licensure, and meet the hospital’s medical staff credentialing standards.
