Watson Candidate Assistant is here to answer questions about working at Dallas ISD.BASIC FUNCTIONSAssist in conducting intensified learning experience for students in assigned area and relieve teacher of various non-instructional dutiesAssists teacher in management of student arrival and departure timePerform supportive tasks primarily of a non-instructional nature for a certified.Assist teacher and students in achieving the objectives of the program or activitiesMaintain discipline in the absence of the teacherHelp maintain a neat and orderly classroomTutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce and follow-up learning activitiesHelp teacher supervise students throughout the day inside and outside the classroom including hall lunchroom auditorium gym and playground monitoringHelp teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reportsAssist Teacher with copying organizing and filing materials for distribution to studentsHelp with the inventory care and maintenance of equipmentKeep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual studentsParticipate in staff-development training programs to improve job performanceParticipate in faculty meetings and special events as assignedHelp decorate the classroom for special events PTA meetings holidays etcPerform all other tasks and duties as assignedRegular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this positionWORK ENVIRONMENT:The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel throughout the district is integral to this job. A remote working environment /alternate work arrangement is not an option for campus-based employees/campus-based positions because regular and punctual attendance at the worksite and performing all duties at the worksite are essential job duties for all campus-based personnel.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required of this job:High School Diploma or USA equivalency; Associate Degree or 48 College credit hours or pass an academic assessment; Valid Texas educational aide certificateSix months of knowledge and skills acquired through work experience or successful completion of a specific training program for teacher assistants is preferredDemonstrated initiative and a willingness to follow verbal and written instructionsDemonstrated general knowledge of child growth/development and behavior characteristicsPerform supportive tasks primarily of a non-instructional nature for a certifiedAssist teacher and students in achieving the objectives of the program or activitiesDemonstrated flexibility to cope with the challenges of a rapidly changing worldDemonstrated willingness to remain current with the latest developments in the profession Key Skills Dhcp,Front Office Management,Information Technology Sales,Field Sales,ITI Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
