Generator Technician at 360X Staffing
Job Description
Seeking an experienced Generator Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and start-up commissioning on power-generation equipment. This role is hands-on in the field and supports overall service operations through accurate documentation, customer interaction, and technical expertise.
Qualifications
- 3+ years generator technician experience
- HS diploma required; technical training preferred
- Strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license; relevant certifications a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and progress through skill levels
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair generators (diesel, gas, standby)
- Perform PMs, load-bank testing, and startup commissioning
- Provide in-person and field technical support
- Diagnose electrical/mechanical issues and follow work instructions
- Document all work clearly and accurately
- Travel to customer sites; respond to emergency calls as needed
- Maintain clean driving record and provide own basic tools
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
