The Program Coordinator for Community Engagement will provide critical administrative, programmatic, and logistical support to the Office of Community Engagement. Working under the direction of the AVP for Community Engagement, this position will help implement and sustain community engagement initiatives that connect UNG with regional partners, advance workforce development, and strengthen educational access. The Program Coordinator will serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, manage day-to-day operations of programs and events, and support the tracking and evaluation of engagement outcomes. Therefore, while we remain committed to supporting international faculty hires, we cannot guarantee payment of any newly imposed or increased visa-related fees.If you have any questions regarding the visa policy, please contact Monica Arrendale at (706) 867-4470.Responsibilities Program and Event Coordination: Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of community engagement events, workshops, and initiatives across multiple campuses and communities. Manage event logistics including scheduling, space reservations, materials, vendor coordination, catering, technology support, and day-of-event staffing. Support outreach activities with K-12 schools, nonprofits, business and industry partners, and community organizations.Stakeholder Communication and Support: Serve as the initial point of contact for the office to include student, staff, faculty, and community partners, students, faculty, and staff engaged in community programs. Draft and distribute communications, promotional materials, and social media content to increase visibility of UNG's community engagement efforts. Maintain professional correspondence and timely follow-up with internal and external stakeholders.Data, Reporting, and Assessment: Track participation, engagement metrics, and outcomes of community programs using appropriate data management systems. Support Directors and AVP with preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing materials for internal and external audiences. Assist in collecting feedback from partners, students, and community members to inform program improvement.Administrative and Fiscal Support: Provide administrative support for the Office of Community Engagement, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and managing calendars. Process reimbursements, invoices, and purchasing requests in compliance with university policies. Assist with budget tracking for programs, events, and grants, ensuring accuracy and fiscal responsibility.Collaboration and Campus Engagement: Work collaboratively with academic departments, Student Engagement and Success, Advancement, Government Relations, and other units to align resources with community needs. Help connect students with community-based opportunities such as service-learning, internships, and volunteer projects. Support cross-campus initiatives that advance UNG's mission for engagement, workforce development, and regional partnerships. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities simultaneously.Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with database systems, event management software, and social media platforms preferred.Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain attention to detail.Must maintain highest degree of confidentiality.Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of two years of experience in program coordination, event planning, community engagement, or higher education.Proposed Salary Standard Hiring Range: $50,957 - $56,052Required Documents to Attach ResumeCover letterContact information for three professional references.
