This position offers a unique opportunity to combine academic practice with high-quality community-based cancer care across a network of well-established practices.About the Role:Join a vibrant and growing Division of Hematology/Oncology which includes:28 Board-Certified Physicians and 31 Advanced Practice ProvidersAn integrated multidisciplinary Cancer Center of Excellence focused on clinical care and innovationAccess to state-of-the-art clinical and research facilitiesAffiliation with the UMass Chan Medical School a nationally ranked academic institutionThis role offers a dynamic mix of clinical care teaching research and leadership opportunities with a clinical focus on gastrointestinal malignancies.Key Highlights:Primary clinical focus: Gastrointestinal cancers across inpatient and outpatient settingsClinic schedule: 8 half-day sessions per week average of 8 patients per sessionProtected administrative time: 1 day per weekElectronic Medical Record: EpicPractice sites may include Worcester and either Leominster or MarlboroughParticipation in multidisciplinary tumor boards fellowship curriculum and conferencesAcademic appointment at UMass Chan Medical School commensurate with experienceOpportunities for involvement in teaching clinical research quality improvement community outreach and leadershipCompetitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits packageWhat Were Looking For:Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology/OncologyMD or DO degree and eligibility for Massachusetts medical licensureA strong commitment to patient-centered clinical careInterest in academic medicine including teaching and clinical researchAbility to thrive in a collaborative interdisciplinary team environmentWhy Central MassachusettsWorcester the second largest city in New England offers a vibrant culturally rich and welcoming community.
