DescriptionSeeking a highly skilled Vice President to join the Global Real Estate Accounting team.As Global Real Estate Project Accounting Vice President Controller you will be responsible for leading and managing the financial close process ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Global Real Estate manages the firms capital on a global portfolio including corporate offices and banking center branches across 9000 projects.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the management and oversight of accounting activities including:Postings to the general ledger and assessing transaction activity for proper accounting treatmentManage the reconciliation and substantiation process for the general ledger ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial dataAnalyze financial data to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvementTrack update and provide detail of any significant income/expense financial activity on a monthly basisProvide leadership mentorship and development opportunities to global teamCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic business and financial initiatives and provide insights into financial performanceDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including senior management and auditorsProvide accounting guidance related to interpretation of Corporate Accounting Policies and US GAAPProvide direction and independent decision-making for moderately complex accounting and reporting issues under limited direction Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Control and Risk Assessment and other internal control documentation standardsRequired Qualifications Capabilities and SkillsBachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related fieldMinimum of 6 years financial accounting experience working in a high volume fast-paced environmentExperience in managing month-end close cycle with a focus on financial statement accuracy and completenessProven track record of managing and leading high-performing teamsSelf-starter with strong initiative ability to take ownership and be hands-onHighly organized with ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritize to meet deadlines Strong communication and presentation skills both written and verbalStrong analytical skills with sound judgement and decision-making abilityProficiency in financial software and tools including Excel and AlteryxPreferred Qualifications Capabilities and SkillsCPA or MBAExperience with SAPRequired Experience:Exec Key Skills EAM,Economics,IT Business Analysis,Information Security,Android Development Employment Type : Full-Time Department / Functional Area: Finance Experience: years Vacancy: 1
