DescriptionThe Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is responsible for designing implementing and managing education programs that support both internal employees external stakeholders and partners. This highly cross-functional role oversees curriculum development course delivery and the administration of a digital learning platform. The position also leads a small team of L&D professionals and collaborates closely with business unit leaders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:Curriculum & Course DevelopmentDesign and maintain a tiered business-aligned curriculum across technical functional and leadership topics for internal and external audiences.Create engaging compliant learning content in multiple formats (e-learning instructor-led blended) that reflects industry best practices.Content Delivery & Learning EventsPlan and deliver digital and in-person training events managing logistics for workshops webinars and certification programs.Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback assessments and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.Digital Learning Platform ManagementOversee and optimize the LMS ensuring accurate course cataloging user access and robust reporting.Drive adoption of digital learning tools and enhance the learner experience through innovative features and improvements.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Product Sales Marketing Engineering and Service teams to integrate learning initiatives into broader business strategies.Act as a liaison between subject matter experts and instructional designers to ensure content accuracy and relevance.Team LeadershipManage and mentor a small team of L&D specialists fostering a culture of continuous improvement and outcome focus.Allocate resources effectively and set clear performance goals for the team.Who You Are:You formulate a clear strategy and map aggressive steps that will accelerate the organization toward its goals.You scan the environment for new technical skills knowledge or capabilities that can benefit business or personal performance.You find and champion the best creative ideas and actively move them into implementation.You readily action new challenges without unnecessary planning.You set stretch goals and objectives pushing individuals or teams to perform at higher levels.For This Role You Will Need:Bachelors degree in Education Human Resources Organizational Development or related field5 years of experience in education or learning & developmentStrong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologiesExcellent communication project management and stakeholder engagement skillsProven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional projects & eventsPreferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:MastersdegreeDirect classroom and instructional experienceExperience managing LMS platforms and digital learning technologiesOur Culture & Commitment to YouAt Emerson we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued respected and empowered to grow.
