As part of this group you will be part of the group responsible for maintaining identity integrity account management and extending our capabilities to non-human objects such as AI Agents bots service accounts etc. We are excited to build this roadmap of features for our customers and are looking for driven people to help us get there.ResponsibilitiesDrive the design implementation and deployment of efficient maintainable robust microservices to deliver medium-to-high complexity featuresSet a high bar for code/design reviews and fortify the teams coding/quality standardsAdopt an iterative continuous improvement approach to ship and deploy product featuresWork in an agile environment collaborate with peers on designs technical refinements code reviews testing and customer issuesDevelop/adopt testing frameworks test plans to improve code quality and continuous deliveryContinue to maintain the We built it we maintain it SailPoint cultureParticipate in the product OnCall and TechOps processDevise monitoring capabilities to analyze application behavior and performanceDevelop dashboards alerts and logging for our services to proactively monitor catch and mitigate potential Staging/Prod impacting issuesLeverage training plans and service leads to quickly ramp-up on ISC product and technical knowledgeAs a member of this backend team you will focus on feature development and bug support based on the product prioritizationMentor junior members and guide them on technical solutionsRequirements3 years of professional software development experience with a demonstrated record of increasing responsibilitiesBS in Computer Science or a related field or combination of education and work experience2 years of experience in developing server-side object-oriented programming in Golang2 years of SaaS production support experience running on and utilizing cloud-native services from AWS1 years of experience in the implementation of event-driven architectureExperience developing microservices in multi-tenant SaaS applicationExperience implementing RESTful APIs for an API-first application architectureExperience using SQL/NoSQL EKS Kafka RedisExperience using monitoring alertingExperience or desire in working with remote teamsGreat communication skillsDesiredKnowledge of visualization tools such as Prometheus or GrafanaKnowledge of Flink or developing complex queriesKnowledge of SnowflakeWhat success looks like in the role Within the first 30 days you will:Onboard into your new role get familiar with our product offering and technology proactively meet peers and stakeholders set up your test and development environmentSeek to understand business problems or common engineering challenges and propose software architecture designs to solve them elegantly by abstracting useful common patterns.Invest time and energy into diving into work items defined by the teamLearn about what it means to support our array of services and how everyone has a part to play on this teamBecomes familiar with our CI/CD processesBy 60 days:Provide on-call supportAble to identify the Subject Matter Experts on the team and is proactive in gaining feedback and adviceBecome familiar with our CI/CD processesParticipate in code reviewsBy 90 days:Become familiar with the ISC product and understands the teams responsibilities in support of ISCUnderstands the differences between human and non-human identities and accountsUtilize your skills to help solve problems and build out features within our roadmapBy 6 months:Collaborates with Product Management and Engineering Lead to estimate and deliver tasks and projects more independentlyCreates designs for low complexity featuresTake a committed approach to prototyping and co-implementing systemsOccasionally serve as a debugging and implementation engineer during escalations of system issuesCompensation and benefitsExperience a Small-company Atmosphere with Big-company BenefitsCompetitive pay 401(k) and comprehensive medical dental and vision plansRecharge your batteries with a flexible vacation policy and paid holidaysGrow with us with both technical and career growth opportunitiesEnjoy a healthy work-life balance with flexible hours family-friendly company events and charitable workBenefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.As a part of the total compensation package this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge skills experience market conditions and locations as well as reflect SailPoints differing products industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary for US-based employees will be in this range from (min-mid-max USD): $91000 - $130000 - $169000Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employees home location.Benefits Overview1.
