Manager, Strategic Sourcing Work Type: Hybrid Job Location: Oakland, CA Pay Range: $ 1800,000 - $190,000 base Relocation will be covered as per relocation policy This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA Reporting Relationship: The Manager Strategic Sourcing will report to the Senior Director, Construction Services Strategic Sourcing Job Summary: The team is looking for someone to lead a group of 4 to 5 individuals focused on category management. The ideal background would include strategic sourcing experience within capital projects, facilities, real estate, or construction procurement for large organizations. This is a people leadership role, managing a team of 4-5 individuals focused on category management. The role emphasizes enterprise procurement of construction services (not materials) supporting large scale capital programs ($3B-$4B). Led and supervised teams of Sourcing Supervisors, Category Leaders, and Sourcing Specialists to drive sourcing and procurement objectives. Developed and implemented sourcing processes, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and governance. Managed the end-to-end contract approval lifecycle, ensuring timely execution from contract creation through award. Oversaw contract expenditures across multiple spend categories, maintaining budget control and maximizing value. Managed approval of high-value purchase orders and contracts valued between $500,000 and $10 million. Developed and executed both short- and long-term sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and category objectives. Directed complex cross-functional sourcing initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver strategic procurement outcomes.
