The criminal history check must be completed prior to or within the first three days of employment.Within six months of employment successful completion of Boater Safety certification Hunter Safety certification First Aid/CPR/AED USA Archery Instructor Trainer certification ACA Level 2 Kayak Instructor Trainer certification and FWC Trailer Training course.Overview:This full-time Career Service position is based in the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commissions (FWC) Office of Conservation Engagement and Educations (CEE) Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network (FYCCN) serving as the West Partnership Coordinator.FYCCN is seeking a self-motivated energetic outcome-oriented individual to serve as the West Partnership Coordinator. Interested individuals must be passionate about getting youth outside to create the next generation that cares about fish and wildlife resources. Incumbent will be responsible for effectively communicating training and working with a wide range of partners including but not limited to private landowners volunteers youth parents governmental organizations and non-governmental organizations.The successful candidate will join a dedicated statewide team that works to create the next generation that cares about conservation. FYCCN has numerous conservation centers a team of regional partnership coordinators the Project WILD program and hundreds of Partners who work together to encourage youth in conserving Floridas fish and wildlife. We support the delivery of programming that embodies the four pillars of the FYCCN: Shooting Sports Fishing Boating and Wildlife Discovery.The West Partnership Coordinator will join a team of experienced Regional Partnership Coordinators located in Gainesville Lakeland Miami Ocala Tallahassee and West Palm ideal candidate must be passionate about getting youth and families outside and engaged in conservation education. The incumbent must have excellent communication skills with colleagues stakeholders constituents and partners and perform the functions of this position with a strong understanding of the FYCCNs mission future goals and thorough knowledge and application of FYCCN practices.Persons with good listening and writing skills experience with matrix management and the ability to multitask at a high level are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate should be able to work productively independently and with limited supervision possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced ever-changing environment demonstrate critical thinking skills and maintain a positive outlook.This position is not eligible for recurring telework.Description of Duties:Examine organize and plan effective youth conservation programs for a diverse group of stakeholders constituents and partnersServe as a Regional Partnership CoordinatorMotivate a diverse range of partners to actively engage in youth fishing boating shooting sports wildlife discovery and conservation stewardship activitiesIdentify foster and leverage partnership opportunities to reach diverse audiencesAct as liaison between regional partners and FYCCN administrationPlan and conduct meetings with potential partners to identify training needs knowledge and abilitiesConvey FYCCNs and FWCs visions through effective writing and oral communicationResponsible for disseminating FYCCN conservation education resources and youth programming opportunitiesEvaluate education programs and conservation activity opportunities at FYCCN partner sitesAssist with integration of FYCCN educational curricula family activities conservation programs and centers/camps into individual partner sitesConduct trainings and provide instruction to partner staff and volunteer instructors to enhance fishing boating wildlife discovery and shooting sports offeringsWork with FWC Divisions and Offices to encourage agency involvement with youth conservation education programsIdentify and prioritize materials and equipment needs at partner sites and coordinate equipment distributionOversee equipment loan program and ensure inventory accuracy and maintenance of program equipmentAdministrative Duties: Attend staff meetings complete and submit required reports participate in professional development courses and complete timesheets in a timely and thorough manner.
