This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustee. This is a temporary grant funded position through December 31st, 2028, contingent upon grant or funding and grant extensions.This grant position will be eligible for participation in the Florida Retirement System (FRS) after 6 consecutive months of continuous employment. What you will be doing Oversees the day-to-day operations of the project, including timely implementation of all required activitiesSupervises full-time and part-time project staff, including consultantsAdministers the grant’s budget to ensure funds are allocated and spent according to project, funder, and collegeEnsures compliance with College and funding agency policies, procedures, and regulationsManages participant database tracking system for participant evaluationPrepares grant project reports in accordance with College policy and in compliance with funder requirementsCollaborates with internal and external partners to optimize delivery of project servicesWorks with project and College staff to institutionalize improvements and project componentsPrepares materials for dissemination via articles, reports, presentations, etc.Performs other duties as assignedWhat you need to succeed Master’s degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of relevant work experience; or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and six (6) years of relevant work experience All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institutionKnowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and proceduresExperience in grant management, including budget personnel management and reportingExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and oral communications skillsExperience planning, coordinating and organizing complex, multi-activity projects (preferable in education setting)Ability to manage multiple competing prioritiesKnowledge and proficiency of Microsoft office software and specific computer programs related to area of responsibilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions for reporting purposesAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulationsAbility to develop cooperative relationships among faculty, staff, administration and College leadershipAbility to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staffAbility to work a flexible schedule which may include evening and weekend assignments Additional Requirements The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
