Our world-class consultants unite people to work collaboratively to achieve project goals and make vision a reality.Project Description:This project supports initiatives under the CDCs Public Health Infrastructure Center that strengthens public health systems across state local tribal and territorial jurisdictions. Work focuses on enhancing workforce capacity improving data and technology infrastructure and providing technical assistance to public health partners. The project also involves coordinating resources supporting grant-funded activities facilitating communication among stakeholders and advancing CDCs efforts to modernize and sustain core public health capabilities nationwide.Job Summary:This role ensures compliance with federal and organizational regulations monitors performance and financial reporting and provides technical assistance to grant recipients. Works collaboratively with the government program teams external partners and grantees to ensure accurate documentation timely submissions and effective stewardship of grant funds.Responsibilities:Support three funding vehicles managed by the CDC branch Support and track the continuation and supplemental awards for each funding vehicleParticipate in process improvement efforts by automating time-consuming tasks and creating job-aids/resources to cross-train staff Assist with knowledge management activities; this includes creating a centralized location for all branch resources job aids and documents for easy accessSupport the legacy grant management system retirement and archival efforts by providing technical support to users during their final reporting in this system and assisting users and program staff Read assigned recipients progress reports and write one-page descriptions of recipient activities to be used for data calls and other communicationsEnter new grant/CoAg award announcements into the internal portalParticipating in weekly team meetingsSupport reporting requirements associated with CDC grant applicationsReview grant application activities and budgets to ensure they are compliant with funding requirementsMake recommendations for grant lifecycle process improvementsDevelop performance improvement tools and make recommendation to achieve grant funding efficiency and effectivenessProvide technical support to CDC granteesAssist with related ad hoc tasksRequired Experience:3 years of experience in Federal Government grants managementExcellent oral and written communication skillsProviding technical assistant to grant awardeesPrevious experience with CDC programs policies procedures and communication activities preferredAbility to think critically about current processes and suggest improvementsAbility to work on a teamExperience working with grants or cooperative agreementsAbility to learn quickly and follow instructionsPreferred Experience:Microsoft Power BIEducation & Training:Bachelor or masters in public health Communications Public Policy or related fieldSalary Range:$50000-$70000Salary commensurate with experience.
