Our facilities are located in Vicksburg, MS, Memphis, TN, and Wood River, IL.Ergon offers a competitive benefits package: 401(k) Matching, Health, Life, Dental, Vision, FSA, HSA, LTD, Holidays, Vacation, Sick Leave, Tuition Assistance, and Profit SharingThe Grocery Clerk position provides accurate grocery orders to customers while maintaining a clean work environment.Grocery Clerk Responsibilities include the following:Assist with transferring or double checking customer orders to the EMIS Grocery Order FormComplete an Order Accuracy Form for each order handled and a High Dollar Sheet when neededPull orders with accuracyPackage orders correctlyPrepare grocery order for delivery to boat to include checking milk dates and produce freshness when loading ordersAssist with truck deliveries and verifying product with vendor invoice, reporting any discrepancies to the Administrative Assistant for correct inventory updatingRestock and rotate inventory with the oldest inventory at the front of the shelfCheck expiration dates when checking in truck and while restocking the shelfComplete Forklift Pre-shift Inspection Checklist at the beginning of each shiftRefuel forklift when neededComplete Vehicle Inspection Checklist at the beginning of each shift when necessaryCheck all produce for freshness at the beginning of each shiftClean the produce cooler dailyKeep the freezer free of empty boxes and wrapsClean grocery warehouse as instructedComplete Heath Department Cleaning Requirements as directedBring pallets and milk crates from the dock to the grocery warehousePick up town items as needed taking special care of company property which includes the company vehicle or credit card used for out of stock or buy out purchases and assure proper handling of receiptsRequired to fill in for co-workers if called in to do soMake shift change with relief person before leavingAssist with cycle counts, end of month close out and end of the year inventory as instructedGrocery Clerk Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDValid Driver's LicenseGood communication and organizational skillsPrior grocery stocking and inventory control experience helpfulMust be able to lift 50 pounds without assistanceMust be able to work the following shift: 3 days on day shift (6am-6pm), 3 nights on night shift (6pm-6am), and 3 days offThe person selected must be able to work in any environment (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
