Quality Staffing Inc. also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the areas top companies is seeking an experienced Grounds Keeper/Maintenance to work through our agency as a contract employee with the State of Tennessee School for the Blind (TN TSB) located in Nashville TN. This is anon-site position working from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. The pay rate for this position is $21.50 per hour. Grounds Keeper Job Description:The Grounds Worker will perform semi-skilled work in the maintenance care and modification of campus grounds and landscapes under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. The work includes the operation of electrically powered and gasoline powered groundskeeping equipment and machines the use of small hand and power tools or equipment in planting cultivating and trimming grounds and landscaping. The Grounds Worker will also perform maintenance on groundskeeping equipment and tools will change light bulbs pressure wash surfaces paint walls woodwork furniture and equipment make minor carpentry plumbing and electrical repairs and deliver supplies materials and equipment as needed.Grounds Keeper Duties and Responsibilities will include:Mow lawns and trim grass around walks flower beds and wallsPrune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growthRemove damaged leaves branches and twigs using mowers tractors and other hand and power toolsCollect and dispose of outside trash and garbageProvide proper upkeep of hard surfaces storm drains and other ground featuresLay out and ten flower beds and other decorative vegetationPlant fertilize water and use herbicides and insecticides to maintain grass flowers trees and shrubsRemove snow and ice from walks and drivewaysSpread salt pick up litter rake and remove leaves from campusMaintain driveways and parking lotsRepair fences gates walls irrigation systems walks and outbuildings using carpentry masonry pressure washers and painting toolsOperate trucks and tractors in grounds preparation and maintenance workAssist with maintenance and repairs of equipment all buildings structures and groundsAssist with plumbing masonry carpentry painting and minor electrical workArrange facilities for special events and check for safety hazardsAttend training programs (classroom and virtual) as designatedComply with all campus safety policies and proceduresApply all applicable OSHA and related safety requirements to all assigned workReport all accidents and injuries in a timely mannerPerform related tasks as requiredExperience and Qualifications Required for Grounds Keeper position:Graduate of an accredited high school or equivalent.Experience equivalent to one year of full-time labor and trades work including some routine grounds maintenance work.General knowledge of tools materials and equipment used in general grounds and/or maintenance work.Knowledge of safety precautions applicable to operating grounds and/or maintenance equipment.Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions.Valid Tennessee drivers license.This is medium to heavy work requiring the exertion of 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 20 pounds of force constantly.Work requires climbing balancing stooping reaching standing walking pushing lifting and grasping.Verbal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas.Hearing is required to perceive information at normal and high noise levels.Visual activity is required for use in measuring devices operation of machines and operation of motor vehicles or equipment.This position will be subject to inside and outside environmental conditions; tasks are regularly performed with exposure to adverse environmental conditions.Benefits Include:Weekly Pay/Comparable WagesMajor Medical InsuranceIndemnity Medical Dental and Vision InsuranceTerm Life Insurance and Short-Term DisabilityInterested Here is how to apply:Click on Apply Now and complete the process.Thisjob closes on 12/16/25 (or when the position is filled) and will no longer accept resumes after this date.Quality Staffing Inc. and our subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers and consider all qualified applicants equally without regard to race color religion sex sexual orientation gender identity national origin veteran status or disability status.
