The RoleWe are seeking a motivated and reliable Grounds and Garden Maintenance Assistant to join our team at one of New Zealands leading secondary schools known for its beautiful campus and commitment to excellence. This role is essential in ensuring our extensive grounds and gardens remain attractive functional and safe throughout the year.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the maintenance of lawns gardens and outdoor areasOperate and maintain grounds equipment (mowers trimmers etc.)Support seasonal planting pruning and landscaping projectsEnsure pathways and outdoor spaces are clean and hazard-freeWork collaboratively with the Property team to complete tasks efficientlyAbout YouPrevious experience in grounds or garden maintenance is an advantagePhysically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditionsKnowledge of horticulture and landscaping practices is desirableReliable punctual and able to work independently or as part of a teamA positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standardsDiversityVentia is enriched by the diverse experiences talents and cultures that our people bring to the organisation while celebrating and respecting the communities we operate in.
