Groundskeeper at Hereford ISD

PRIMARY PURPOSE:Maintain safe and attractive grounds and landscaping for the district.EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Must have a valid Texas drivers license and a good driving recordSPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:Ability to read and understand written instructionsAbility to communicate (verbally)Ability to operate tractor and landscaping equipmentAbility to operate riding or power mower power tools and hand toolsPlant shrubs trees and flowers. Prune trees and shrubs.Spray for weeds and insects using unrestricted chemicals as required.Operate large power lawn mowers edgers hand tools and large vehicles associated with ground maintenance and landscaping activitiesOperate pickup trucks flat rack trucks and dump trucks for hauling purposes and for trash and debris removalPerforms minor maintenance and repair on equipmentUse of power equipmentEXPERIENCE: Preferred but not requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDS: Moderate walking standing climbing heavy lifting carrying stooping bending kneeling and reachingWork outside and inside with exposure to all types of weather and noise.
