Groundskeeper at Mayo Clinic

DescriptionGroundkeeper tasks include but are not limited to inspecting testing and maintaining the grounds and surrounding landscape of Mayo Clinic properties free of debris clean safe and in good appearance. Performs maintenance and preventative maintenance functions including lawn care landscaping grounds equipment and weather-related maintenance. Assist with emptying trash cans daily throughout the site and performing other porter duties such as picking up litter. Must be able to operate and maintain equipment for groundskeeping. Ability to operate and maintain equipment for irrigation is preferred. Must document all activities in the electronic work order system. Physical requirements include standing stooping bending lifting climbing reaching pulling and pushing up to 50 pounds. Interact professionally with patients visitors contractors and Mayo Clinic staff.QualificationsRequired High school graduate or equivalent (G.E.D.) and a minimum of 1-year experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance. Must possess a valid drivers license if the site requires. The ability to read write and speak English is Minnesota: Chemical Applicator Certificate is Minnesota: Must have the ability to obtain Minnesota Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicators License.
