This position requires the instructor to design and implement diverse workout programs that cater to various fitness levels and goals, ensuring a safe and motivating environment for all participants. The instructor will also be responsible for fostering a sense of community among participants, encouraging them to support one another in their fitness journeys. Additionally, the role involves monitoring participants' progress and providing personalized feedback to help them achieve their individual fitness objectives. Ultimately, the Group Exercise Instructor aims to inspire and empower individuals to lead healthier, more active lives through dynamic group exercise experiences.Minimum Qualifications:Current certification in group exercise instruction from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, AFAA, or similar).CPR and First Aid certification.Preferred Qualifications:Experience teaching a variety of group exercise formats.Additional certifications in specialized fitness areas (e.g., Zumba, kickboxing, etc.).Responsibilities:Lead group exercise classes, including but not limited to yoga, pilates, cycling, and high-intensity interval training.Create and implement class plans that are safe, effective, and enjoyable for participants of varying fitness levels.Monitor participants during classes to ensure proper form and technique, providing modifications as needed.Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages participant engagement and community building.Conduct fitness assessments and provide personalized feedback to participants to help them achieve their fitness goals.Skills:The required skills for this role include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for effectively engaging with participants and creating a welcoming environment. Leadership skills are crucial as the instructor will guide and motivate individuals during classes, ensuring they feel supported and challenged. Organizational skills are necessary for planning and executing diverse class formats while maintaining a structured approach to fitness. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of nutrition and wellness, can enhance the instructor's ability to provide holistic guidance to participants. Overall, a combination of these skills will enable the Group Exercise Instructor to deliver high-quality fitness experiences that promote health and well-being.
