If you enjoy working with diverse groups and have a love for fitness and water activities, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community.Key Responsibilities:- Lead and facilitate water aerobics classes for participants of various ages and fitness levels- Design and implement safe, effective, and engaging workout routines tailored to class needs- Ensure the safety of all participants by monitoring activities and enforcing pool safety rules- Provide instruction on proper exercise techniques and water safety practices- Motivate and encourage participants to achieve their fitness goals- Maintain a clean and organized class environment- Keep accurate attendance records- Communicate effectively with participants and staff to promote a welcoming atmosphereRequirements:Skills and Qualifications:- Certification in Water Aerobics Instruction or equivalent (e.g., CPR, First Aid)- Prior experience leading water fitness classes preferred- Strong knowledge of water safety and pool operations- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to motivate and engage diverse groups of participants- Reliable, responsible, and punctual- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsAt our YMCA, we foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages personal growth and community connection.
