Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Fitness Center at the Buffalo Grove Park District is looking for energetic and talented Group Exercise Instructors to lead a variety of Group Exercise classes. This person should be able to maintain a positive working attitude with other instructors, staff and members.We are especially seeking instructors with experience in:  Aqua Fitness, Barre, Senior Fitness / Active Aging Classes, and Cycle.Other formats are also welcome, including strength, cardio, cycle, yoga, Pilates, dance, HIIT, and more.Essential Functions:1.    Lead high quality classes that match the class description, and meet members’ needs. Is able to program, deliver and adapt based on the class participants.2.    Must find a sub if unable to teach a scheduled class; willing and available to sub for other instructors when needed.3.    Attend any department meetings, read and respond to all e-mail communications in a timely manner.4.    Arrive to class early to set up equipment and room, check in participants, and clean up afterwards. 5.    Establish relationships with participants to build class participation. Maintain a minimum average of 8 participants per class.6.    Perform other duties as assigned.Education and Experience1.    High School Diploma or GED equivalent2.    Maintain a current Group Exercise Instructor Certification from ACE, AFFA or AEA3.    Maintain a current CPR Certification4.    Minimum of two years teaching experienceSalary Rate$27+ per class, depending on experienceBenefitsFree Fitness Center pass for employees who work 8 hours or more per week, along with other discounts towards Park District programs. Powered by JazzHRdCcsabqH6o
