Join our team to support our members in achieving their goals!As a Group Exercise Instructor, you will:Lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational group exercise classes.Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members and program participants connect with each other and the YMCA.Observes and adjusts approach to support all participants’ capabilities, physical conditions, health, and culture.Instructors must record accurate class attendance.Ensure the proper equipment is available.Record accurate class attendance.We are hiring for the following classes:Pilates Reformer: Lead energizing, fun, safe and educational group Pilates Reformer classesZumba*Les Mills CORE*Les Mills SPRINT*Les Mills BODYPUMP*Les Mills BODYCOMBAT*Les Mills BODYBALANCE**Must have current Les Mills and/or Zumba CertificationQualifications:Current Group Fitness Certification from a nationally recognized organizationMinimum 1-year consistent teaching experience is preferred.Ability to teach 2 or more class formats is desired.Certifications subject to annual audit. CPR/AED, first-aid certificationAbuse Prevention ResponsibilitiesAll employees are expected to maintain boundaries, follow mandated reporting requirements, and uphold our policies and procedures to protect youth and participants. This includes attending required training, reporting suspicious or inappropriate behaviors, and adhering to procedures that minimize risk. Supervisors are also responsible for providing oversight, feedback, and accountability to ensure staff and volunteers follow these standards.
