Main is hiring for a full-time field, industrial and shipyard/marine, safety supervisor in our Hampton, VA branch. No relocation or per diem available. Position reports to the Safety Manager.The field safety supervisor's responsibilities include:Enforcement of company specific, client specific, and OSHA specific safety policies at the field levelConducting tool box safety training and collecting and maintaining documentation of trainingPerform workplace safety inspections at the field levelConduct, document, and maintain documentation of incident investigationsAssist the safety manager with new hire orientationMaintain and document the maintenance of safety equipmentAfter being designated a Competent Person, perform CP duties industrial and shipyard/marineJob Type: Full-time, hourly Job Location: Hampton, VA Required experience:Must be 18 years' oldMust be US CitizenExperience working in a physically demanding environment; confined spaces, working at heightsProficient in Microsoft OfficeProficient writing skills using proper English grammarEffective written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsMust have the ability to maintain confidentialityMaintain a professional demeanorAll candidates must submit to drug testing and E-Verification of their right to work in the USA criminal background check requiredReliable transportation a mustBilingual PreferredBenefits:In addition to competitive pay, we provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
