As a mentor you will befriend, inspire, teach, and supervise the clients who live here. You will learn to help young people struggling with mental health challenges implement therapeutic tools in their lives.Duties and Responsibilities:Inspire and assist the students in their personal development and treatment plan goals.Educating and training students adaptive skillsEnsuring student safetyMonitoring and carrying out consequences under the direction of the treatment teamCharting in each student’s medical record on the HQ databaseCommunicating and reporting to the treatment teamEnsuring students are taking their meds in a safe mannerAttending and maintaining current certifications such as CPR and first aidParticipate in healthy recreation with clients (rock climbing, skiing, hiking, etc)Helps clients implement therapy skills, life skills, executive functioning skills and recreationalskills in day-to-day livingAttend weekly trainingsTransportation of studentsRequirements:Qualifications:Exceptional relationship skillsTimelyDependable and reliable.Ability to hold appropriate boundaries.Ability to receive and carry out instruction.Genuine care and concern for othersDrivers licenseCan pass a BCICollege education preferred
