Head Brewer (new brewery Ft Myers, FL) at Resurgence Brewing Company

Our goal is to deliver memorable moments to the drinkers of the Greater Buffalo region (and beyond!) whether theyre at home in their favorite bar or on a tour of our extraordinary brewery.What youll be doing:Were looking for a talented innovative full-time craft beer brewer for our new Ft. Myers FL brewery! This position will report to the Production Manager and COO and manage all aspects of the beer production process including but not limited to: maintaining quality and safety standards cleanliness process efficiency adhering to the production schedule managing day-to-day operations of the brewery and supervising and training others as needed. This individual contributes to the companys strategic goals to promote and provide exceptional brews that differentiate our brands.This is a full-time on-site position. Annual salary is $44000 to $53000 based on experience.Typical hours are Monday through Friday day shift with the occasional evening or weekend as operations dictate.Additional responsibilities include:Maintains and helps support Resurgence ERP SystemOversees Florida Production Brewery as the main point of contactOversees department staff scheduling training and supportIn conjunction with Management and HR assists with interviewing hiring disciplines separations and evaluations as necessary Supports ingredient and material purchasing as necessaaryAdheres to established budgetsCollaborates with partners other businesses and the like in order to promote company brews and demonstrate innovationImplements and maintains laboratory and quality control proceduresEstablishes and monitors work-flow processes to ensure little to no waste of materials in the production processOversees sensory evaluations and taste panelsWhat youll need:Associate degree or equivalent experience in Brewmaster Brewery Operations Management or related field Experience in brewing beer (commercially preferred)Demonstrated ability to manage a beer production lineExperience in a supervisory or management role highly desiredProficiency with basic computer programs; familiary with ERP systems a plusExperience in food production mechanical and/or engineeringExperience or willingness to train to operate a forkliftStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenFamiliarity of manufacturing standards and safety protocols OSHA knowledge desiredTeam-focused attitude patient supportive and takes care with product and machineryAbility to work independentlyAn innovative creative thinkiner with a passion for craft beerAbility to bend crouch crawl stand sit and maneuver as needed as well as manual dexteritryFlexible and amenable to the various needs while establishing a new brewing site; able to work as needed including weekends as projects and needs dictateMust be at least 21 years of ageAuthorized to work in the U.S. Benefits include:Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysHealth Insurance with company contributionDental Insurance401k with company match (based on eligibility)Beer!Why Resurgence Brewing Co.RBC is located in the heart of the City of Good Neighbors Buffalo NY.
