Your role

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of the first line non financial risk and supervisory framework across AMER Global Banking
  • Act as a point of contact for risk, supervision and control matters, providing pragmatic, business aligned advice
  • Oversee key non financial risk processes, including RCSAs, conflicts of interest and inducements registers, non financial risk events and issues, and remediation tracking
  • Review and challenge risk and supervisory MI, escalating material issues and employee conduct incidents as appropriate
  • Responsibility to lead local regulatory and audit exams, representing GB BRM
  • Build strong relationships with Global Banking senior management and control partners, and present at relevant governance forums

Your team

This role sits within the Investment Banking COO / Business Risk Management function, supporting the AMER Global Banking business. Global Banking covers the firm’s corporate advisory and capital markets activities, including M&A, Leveraged Finance / DCM, Corporate Lending and ECM. The role sits within a global BRM team reporting to the Head of Global Banking BRM, with scope to contribute to cross regional initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Global Banking Compliance, Business Risk Management, COO or a related control role
  • Understanding of non financial risk and supervision within Global Banking, including information barriers, Banking–Research interactions, cross border risks, conflicts / inducements, RCSAs, risk events and conduct matters
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, exercising sound judgement
  • People management experience, or readiness to step into broader leadership responsibility
  • Analytical skills, including use of Excel (e.g. pivots / lookups)
  • Ability to produce clear PowerPoint materials and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable using AI enabled tools to support analysis and drafting, with a willingness to continue developing capability

United States - New York - New York min USD 172500 - max USD 207500 /annum
