About Fathom

At Fathom, we believe that meetings are both our highest-leverage time and also often come with the heaviest burden. Too much of our attention is lost to menial tasks - like taking notes, documenting decisions, or chasing down action items - when it should be focused on human connection, collaboration, and strategic thinking.

We created Fathom to eliminate the needless overhead of meetings. Our AI notetaker captures, summarizes, and organizes the key moments of your calls, so you and your team can stay fully present without sacrificing context or clarity. From instant, searchable call summaries to seamless CRM updates and team-wide sharing, Fathom transforms meetings from a source of friction into a place for alignment and momentum.

And people love it. Users describe Fathom as a "game-changer," a "must-have," and "the future of work." But don't take our word for it:

? 1 Highest Satisfaction Product of 2024 on G2

? 1 Rated on G2 with 5,300+ reviews and a perfect 5/5 rating

? 1 Product Hunt Product of the Day and 2 AI Product of the Year

? Most installed AI meeting assistant on both the Zoom and HubSpot marketplaces

? We're hitting usage and revenue records every week

We think you'll be pretty excited about Fathom too if you give it a try. Sign up today (it's free)!

Why you should join us
  • Tons of product-market fit: Our product is loved by users, and we're growing fast via a PLG motion.

  • You'll build from 0 1: As our first product marketer, you'll define the function, build the foundation, and scale the strategy.

  • Your impact is immediate: You'll shape how we position, launch, and grow our product across the funnel. No cogs in the wheel here.

  • We're on the leading edge of AI: We embrace the rapidly evolving AI landscape, both in our product development and internal applications.

  • Remote and async-first: We value deep work and give you the autonomy to own your craft.

About the role

We're hiring a Head of Product Marketing to join as our first official PMM. In this role, you'll be responsible for building and owning the product marketing function from the ground up - shaping how we position our product, launch new features, and drive activation and adoption through scalable programs, all while keeping an eye on the market.

You'll report to our VP of Marketing and collaborate closely with our CEO/founder.

This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in startup, product-led environments and loves building things from scratch.

What you'll do
  • Craft and evolve our product positioning and messaging across audiences and use cases

  • Lead high-impact product launches that connect features to real customer value

  • Collaborate on campaigns that drive activation and expansion, along with product-qualified opportunities

  • Create messaging, content, and other resources that fuel our PLG engine, supporting self-serve, sales, and customer success

  • Develop competitive insights and translate them into sharp, differentiated messaging

  • Conduct user and market research to influence product strategy and roadmap

  • Influence the go-to-market strategy across the entire product lifecycle

  • Establish product marketing as a strategic, scalable function within the company

About you
  • Have 5+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, preferably in PLG environments

  • Have built or been part of early-stage teams and love the 0 1 journey

  • Are a strong writer and communicator who can translate technical features into user value

  • Thrive in cross-functional environments and collaborate well with Product, Sales, Data, and more.

  • Have a strategic mindset but aren't afraid to get hands-on with research or content

  • Are scrappy, resourceful, and biased toward action

  • Take ownership and drive results independently

About our hiring process
  • You'll first meet with the VP of Marketing, then several members of the team. We want you to know who you'll be working closely with.

  • You'll be asked to deliver a reflection on our current product positioning and messaging we want to hear it all. We value the tough feedback.

  • We believe in honest transparency. Ask us anything about the role, company, day-to-day expectations, outcomes, and more. No surprises.

  • We move fast: expect a 2-3 week process from start to finish.
