Head of Tax at Rubrik

We are looking for an experienced senior-level tax professional to join and lead our fast-paced high-performing tax department in our HQ location in Palo Alto CA. The Head of Tax is a Director-level professional who will lead the global tax strategy tax planning tax accounting and tax compliance functions of our organization. The individual will be a key member of the Chief Accounting Officers organization. This is a great opportunity that will allow for career growth as the Company continues to scale!What You Will Be DoingDevelop and implement tax strategies aligned with business goals and regulationsConduct tax research and analysis to identify tax planning opportunities and mitigate risksAnalyze the tax implications of major business decisions such as mergers acquisitions and new market entriesCollaborate with various internal departments (finance legal operations) and external advisors to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisionsOversee the preparation and review of tax returns (federal state and international) ensuring accuracy and complianceManage the tax provision process and ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g. ASC 740)Maintain and enhance internal controls over tax processesIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance tax efficiency and accuracyManage and develop direct reports and a global team allocating resources effectively to meet departmental goals and deadlinesQualificationsAbility to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires professionals to be in office at least 3 days per weekBS in Accounting or Masters in Tax with CPA certification required15 years of experience in tax planning accounting & complianceExtensive ASC 740 knowledge and SEC reporting for income taxExperience with international tax issuesUnderstanding of indirect tax concepts & filingsPeople management experience requiredMust be a team player and able to work in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment and comply with tight deadlinesSuperior organization and verbal/communication skills#LI-KY1The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally the role is eligible for bonus potential equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location.
