JOB STATUS:Full time (40 hours/week) 9 Months Per Year Union PositionLOCATION: MarshallMNHelp create an amazing learning environment for young children!As a Head Start Assistant Teacher youll work side by side with our Head Start Teacher to spark curiosity build independence and inspire little learners - all while supporting parents to become their childs greatest advocate.WHAT YOULL DO: Team Up for Success:Collaborate with the Head Start Teacher to plan and most engaging and enriching classroom days ever! Stay Organized: Keep everything running smoothly with accurate and up-to-date record keeping. Add a Health Twist: Bring fun and creativity to the classroom with health and nutrition activities. Be the MVP: Step in for the Head Start Teacher when needed - youre the ultimate backup! Pitch In: Help out with light janitorial duties when necessary - teamwork makes the dream work. Promote the Program: Support recruitment and enrollment efforts to spread the word about Head Start. Prioritize Safety: Ensure a safe environment for everyone every step of the way.SKILLS TO WOW US: You know your way around a computer. Youre a team player and can handle tasks on your own like a pro. Reliable Thats your middle name! Youre up to speed on child development - or eager to learn. Problem-solving and keeping the peace Piece of cake!EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must be 19 years or older. At least one (1) year of experience working with children ages 3-5. A current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Early Childhood Degree - or the ability to obtain it within two years.
