Job Title: Health Operations GeneralistJob Status: Full-timeFunctional areas/department(s) where this position may be located:Community Health and Research Center Job Summary: Under limited supervision from a senior level manager the Health Operations Generalist uses specialized knowledge in operations management and skills obtained through experience to manage the day-to-day business operation of an assigned area. Leads defined work or projects of moderate scope and complexity and ensures the accomplishment of goals and objectives. Analyzes staffing needs monitors financial and program performance and maintains overall quality and customer service standards for the assigned program areas. Applies expertise to solve standard and non-standard problems within the assigned area. Extensive contact with internal and external customers is required to meet program goals and objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day business operations of an assigned functional area and ensures program goals are completed effectively efficiently and timelyEvaluate and make any necessary adjustments to goals and action plans to complete assigned department goals and objectivesReview progress of assignments with senior managementAnalyze staffing needs and approves the hiring of staff for existing programsSupport hiring of staff for new start up programsServe as a liaison in collaboration with human service providers funding agents and access public health division to maximize the impact of servicesPromote public health related research within communities and populations servedParticipate as necessary in ACCESS Arab Health SummitIdentify and approve training and development needs for department staff and locate appropriate training outletsDevelop and deliver appropriate department staff training as necessaryInterpret apply and recommend changes to department and organizational policies and proceduresEnsure department is compliant with department and organizational policies and proceduresBalance conflicting resource and priority demands to ensure staffing levels are adequate to meet customer service expectationsReview and approve monthly and annual quality assurance reportingManage annual audits for assigned area and maintains agency quality assurance standardsWork within budgetary/financial objectives set by managerApply knowledge of profit drivers to work processes within own areaBuild customer relationships interprets customer needs and addresses escalated complaints or concernsMaintain currency in processes related to assigned areaOperate standard office equipment and use required software applicationsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Knowledge Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of:Work processes and tools within own areaBasic principles of development marketing and public relationsKnowledge of local human service network and public and private funding structureKnowledge in public health practices and researchkill in:Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications for program area and other applications including Microsoft OfficeAbility to:Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectivesFacilitate meetings ensuring that presented viewpoints ideas and problems are addressedAttend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientationRead interpret analyze and apply information from routine reports customer and employee feedbackInterpret and apply policies and identify and recommend changes as appropriateWork under pressure on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions and changing prioritiesCommunicate effectively both orally and in writingWork independently as well as collaboratively within a team environmentHandle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional mannerEstablish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organizationEducational/Previous Experience Requirements:Minimum Degree Required:Bachelors degreeMasters degree preferredRequired Disciplines:Business Economics Finance Education Public Health or field related to assigned areaandAt least 3 years of prior experience working in an environment similar to the assigned areaAny equivalent combination of experience education and/or training approved by Human ResourcesLicenses/Certifications:Licenses/Certifications Required at Date of Hire: NoneWorking Conditions:Hours: Normal business hours some additional hours may be requiredTravel Required: NoneWorking Environment: Climate controlled office Key Skills Dhcp,Front Office Management,Information Technology Sales,Field Sales,ITI Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
