This will provide you with the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes yourpersonal and professional growth.We are seeking a full-time intern for our Houston office located in Katy Tx to join ur team for a duration of 10 consecutive weeks from June to August.Heres how an Health Safety and Environment Studentfor our US PICCooffice contributes to our team:Responsibilities Implements action plans to drive a positive HSE culture and improve the quality and effectiveness of core HSE programs HSE Management Systems and programs.Provide field HSE support for designated events and projects as directed by your HSE supervisor.Demonstrate a commitment to establishing and meeting HSE performance targets and generate ideas for continuous HSE performance improvement.Understand and manage the hazards and risks associated with your role and other risks that can impact our organizational objectives.Evaluation of hazards exposures and general impacts associated with operation of process equipment facilities and projects including large-scale construction within an existing facility.Completion of technical documentation and training and support for operations/field personnel in regulatory/policy complianceDevelopment and implementation of plans programs and procedures guiding regulatory compliance proper and safe operations and prevention of undesired consequences.Preparation and submission of internal and external reports and related documentation including formal presentations to small and large groups.Identification and qualification of outside resources and services.Lead or participate in incident investigations field audits and other incident causation and prevention activities.Participate in emergency planning and response activities.Qualifications Pursuing a bachelors degree or higher in Health & Safety Industrial Hygiene Public Health Chemical Engineering Environmental Engineering Environmental Sciences or related technical field or foreign equivalent.18 years of age or older and able to work in Houston TXEmployment with PCL is contingent upon passing a background check and substance abuse test conducted by a third partyUnderstanding of internal project quality assessment process.Demonstrates planning organizational and time-management skills with the abilityto multitask and prioritize own work.Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Level 1 (US IND).Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.PCL is an innovative employee-owned company comprised of people who find passion in their profession and take pride in doing great work every day.
