As we expand across the Carolinas, we’re looking for a dynamic Safety Manager who’s ready to elevate our safety culture, influence executive leadership, and build the systems that will carry us into our next phase of expansion.This role is open due to an upcoming retirement — and the outgoing Safety Manager will be available to mentor, transfer institutional knowledge, and ensure a seamless transition. What You’ll Lead + OwnYou’ll be the driving force behind a proactive, forward-thinking safety program — one that keeps our people safe and positions us as a best-in-class builder.Strategic & Operational ImpactDesign, implement, and continuously refine company-wide safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.Quickly gain familiarity with construction environments (prior construction experience is a plus, but strong candidates from manufacturing, waste management, environmental/EHS, and other industrial sectors will also be considered).Leverage guidance from the retiring Safety Manager to accelerate learning, knowledge transfer, and onboarding.Partner with Operations and senior leadership to embed safety into project planning, workforce development, and long-term scaling initiatives.Training, Coaching & Culture BuildingDevelop and deliver engaging worksite safety training programs, motivating employees to embrace a safety-first mindset.Actively promote a high-energy, people-first culture — someone who’s personable, visible, and capable of rallying teams around safe practices.Continually evaluate and upgrade training programs using industry best practices, including OSHA standards. (OSHA 10 or 30 is a strong plus.)Audits, Inspections & Continuous ImprovementConduct regular site visits across all company locations to audit, monitor, and reinforce compliance with company standards.Perform thorough safety surveys and inspections, delivering clear written recommendations and ensuring corrective actions are completed.Lead post-incident investigations, identifying root causes and partnering with senior management to implement preventive measures.Documentation, Systems & ReportingMaintain detailed safety files, training records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.Demonstrate strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn new software, including:GeoTab & Enterprise for fleet safety and driver monitoringPaycom for employee tracking and complianceMS Suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Planner, Excel)Handle workers’ compensation processes, including filing claims, communicating with carriers, tracking cases, and documenting outcomes.Leadership & InfluenceSupervise and guide employees regarding safety expectations and compliance.Serve as a subject matter expert, internal coach, and trusted advisor across operations and leadership teams.Represent the company’s safety function with confidence, clarity, and a proactive mindset.
