Key customer contact for day-to-day actions requested by the customer and as part of implementing the business plan action plansPursuing New CustomersResearching industry and market trends impacting customers within your territoryIdentifying and researching prospective customers within your territoryIn collaboration with the Healthcare Sales Manager and marketing segment support implements business solutions based on analysis of trend data that provide value to leverage new business opportunities.Deepen and Strengthen Existing Customer RelationshipsVisiting all customers within the assigned territoryCoordinates and executes presentation materials with the Healthcare Sales Manager for business reviews. Analyze all data to ensure consistency with the contract. Participates in business reviews and strategic planning sessions to ensure the successful implementation of action plans.Provides guidance and training for the units (location level) in the use of operational and financial tools and solutions including recipe development portioning plate presentation kitchen layout menu layout and design development of training programs and HACCP training (acts as a project coordinator).Sales Territory ManagementBalancing new customer acquisition and deepening and strengthening existing customer relationshipsCoordinating visits to prospective customers and existing customersSales Training - Getting you ReadyGordon Food Services goal during your first 90 days is to set you up for success! This includes engaging you in various training offerings including e-learning classroom sessions video roleplays job shadowing and peer sales representative mentorship. Throughout your first 90 days you will learn:How to use Gordon Food Service systems processes and tools to manage customer relationshipsAbout the products available to Gordon Food Service customersThe sales process for Healthcare Account Reps primarily maintain existing business through penetration and protectionHow to establish your relationships in the vast network of resources available to you a Gordon Food Service sales representativeBest practices on developing relationships with current customersStrategies on how to effectively manage your territoryPosition RequirementsHigh School Diploma/GED is requiredBachelors degree and/or culinary certificate preferredRegistered Dietician accreditation preferred3 to 5 years of prior sales business or food service experience1 to 3 years of Healthcare Industry experience preferredMaintaining a valid state drivers license and a safe driving recordAbility to obtain your food safety certificationGordon Food Service encourages veterans and active military members to applyGordon Food Service values our customers and understands that their success is largely dependent upon their workforce.
