As a Heat Transfer Design Specialist in Additive Manufacturing at Siemens Energy, this role focuses on developing sustainable design solutions for large gas turbines. What You Bring

  • Educational Background: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with emphasis on additive manufacturing and product development.
  • Technical Expertise: Minimum 5 years in heat transfer analysis; strong experience in gas turbine design (combustion/turbine sections) and sustainable engineering practices.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in CAD (preferably Siemens NX), FEA tools, and programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and OpenNX; CFD experience is a plus.
  • Additive Manufacturing Knowledge: At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AM processes and materials.
  • Project & Communication Skills: Strong project management abilities, effective communication, and intercultural competence to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Innovation & Collaboration: Demonstrated approach for innovation, teamwork, and promoting an inclusive work environment; strong experience in flow rig and specification highly valued.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
