Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Repair Technician (260 Days) at Dallas Independent School District

High School Diploma or USA equivalency. (CFC) Universal Certification required. trade school certification preferred. A or B HVAC certification is preferred. (6) years of directly related experience. knowledge of preventive maintenance inspection and minor repair of HVAC equipment and energy management systems. knowledge of the technical crafts utilized within and outside the HVAC function. to work in confined spaces; frequently required to use ladder climb or balance at a height up to 30 feet. ability to perform responsibilities under general supervision. organizational communication and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position. skills in accurate record keeping and computer data base management including work orders and material procurement. a valid Texas Drivers License and driving record that meets District standards. pass Dallas ISD random drug test. is a plus.Watson Candidate Assistant is here to answer questions about working at Dallas ISD. preventive maintenance emergency repairs and final repairs on all chillers and related equipment. scheduled preventative maintenance of HVAC equipment. troubleshoot disassemble repair maintain and service a variety of HVAC equipment including heavy HVAC equipment. mechanical rooms for operating logs equipment maintenance and operations. and maintain pneumatic and electrical control systems related to HVAC equipment. and repair all types of air-conditioning air handlers and boilers and associated equipment. various air moving equipment and HVAC systems that remove heat/cool from the buildings; and/or conditions air for any malfunction; repair malfunction and make other adjustments. refrigerants to the air conditioning equipment monitor air movement equipment and make adjustments on the equipment for efficient operations; monitor boiler treatment and make adjustments as required. and install pumps and electric motors to various types of HVAC systems and equipment and perform swimming pool system maintenance. and repair air handlers and multi-zone heating expansion cooling units fiberglass piping window units and other HVAC equipment. emergency purchase order requests and maintain work order recordkeeping from initiation to completion. and assist other maintenance employees in responding to emergencies and resolve work related issues. work to insure its completion within allotted time limits. hand and power tools and other equipment using good safety practices. inventory of tools equipment and vehicles; inform supervisor of any known problems immediately and provide documentation during inspection and/or inventory of tools equipment and vehicle as required. District safety guidelines using good safety practices for operating hand and power tools and equipment as need for job completion.
