NOW HIRING: Heavy-Duty Bus Mechanics in Poughkeepsie and Dover Plains (Junior, Mid & Senior Level needed)

Join Our Team as a Heavy Duty Bus Mechanic!

We are seeking skilled and dependable Heavy Duty Bus Mechanics of all levels to help keep our fleet safe, reliable, and road-ready. If you have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel vehicles, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on buses and fleet vehicles (heavy & medium duty)
• Diagnose and repair diesel & gas engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic equipment and general knowledge
• Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately
• Ensure all repairs meet safety and regulatory standards for Federal and NYS DOT
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience as a heavy-duty mechanic, diesel mechanic, or bus technician
• Strong knowledge of diesel & gas engines and vehicle systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Valid driver's license -CDL/Class A or B with a (P) Passenger endorsement preferred but not required
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Transportation license/certification: P endorsement
• Valid driver's license
