Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are currently accepting applications/resumes for an EXPERIENCED Diesel Mechanic for the Thibodaux, LA and surrounding areas. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:Job Scope:Work on equipment as neededAbility to operate heavy equipment.Required Skills: MUST have DIESEL MECHANIC experience (5 years required)Hydraulic/Pneumatic experience preferred, but not necessaryStrong technical aptitudeProblem-solving skillsDiagnostic skillsWide knowledge baseMust be able to Operate Heavy Equipment. (Excavator, Dozer, Skid Steer)MUST be able to use hand tools efficientlyJob Duties/Responsibilities:Ideal candidate will be working on heavy equipmentIdeal candidate will inspect, keep up and repair diesel engines for company vehicle/equipmentIdeal Candidate will be responsible for routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and partsFollow a checklist of inspection proceduresMust be able to understand the vehicles electrical system, engine, and all of its working parts.Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipmentTest drive vehicles/equipment to diagnose malfunctionsTest-drive vehicles/equipment to ensure that they run smoothlyHeavy Equipment Operator duties from time to time.Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 55 lbsMust have good enduranceWill be required to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, and crawl to perform taskAbility to work outdoors in harsh weather conditionsDocuments Required: Driver's License/Identification CardSocial Security Card/Birth CertificateMust have reliable transportationMust be able to pass drug screenMust be able to provide own PPE (hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, gloves)Pay: Depends on Experience.Weekly PayPay schedule: Monday - SundaySchedule: 10-12 hour days (with weather permitting)Monday - Friday (Weekends as needed)Duration of Job: Temp to hireTasks beyond those listed above will be asked of you, so a positive, can-do attitude is required.Qualified candidates can submit a resume, apply on http://ejob.bz/ATS/jb.do?reqGK=27089666&portalGK=14432, or apply in person atHelix Resources, LLC5527 West Main St.Houma, LA 70360
