Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor
Blytheville, AR
Full-Time Field-Based
Position Overview
This position is based in Blytheville, AR, supporting a mobile equipment operation with a team of approximately 15 technicians. The site is under new leadership, and there is an active pipeline of mechanics being built out.
This is a hands-on supervisory role-ideal for someone who can lead from the front, support junior technicians, and step in on diagnostics and repairs when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of 7-8 technicians at a time (approx. 15 total on site)
- Provide hands-on leadership, assisting with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs as needed
- Mentor and develop junior mechanics-especially those requiring guidance in the field
- Coordinate daily workflow, job assignments, and prioritize maintenance tasks
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company standards
- Step in during breakdowns or incidents-all hands-on-deck environment
- Maintain basic reporting, organization, and communication using computer systems
Equipment & Environment
- Heavy earth moving equipment (CAT, Komatsu, etc.)
- Material handlers including Sennebogen (experience preferred, not required)
- Industrial / steel mill / heavy production environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year of supervisory experienceExperience leading teams of 5+ direct reports
- Strong background in heavy equipment / earth moving machinery
- Experience with CAT equipment strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of diagnostics and repairs (must be able to step in when needed)
- Not a purely administrative supervisor-must be comfortable getting on the tools when required
- Basic computer and organizational skills
- Experience in fast-paced, high-demand environments
Tools & Requirements
- Must bring own tools (no tool allowance provided)
- Valid driver's license required
- Company vehicle: Pickup truck provided
Schedule & Work Expectations
- Initial schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift (first few weeks)
- Transition into rotating demands based on workload:
- Nights / weekends as needed
- On-call responsibilities (including nights and weekends)
- 24/7 coverage mindset-response required for breakdowns/incidents
Compensation
- $85,000 - $95,000 annually (based on experience)
