Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Delaware River Basin Stone LLC

MECHANIC, DEPOSIT, NY - Searching for a self-motivated mechanic who has experience with heavy equipment and diesel equipment who wants a position that will involve variety throughout the workday. This is a full-time position with some overtime required to complete tasks.

Duties will include:

• Small engine repair
• Truck repair
• Heavy equipment repair
• Production equipment repair
• Keep logs on work and issues
• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
• Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues
• Manage routine maintenance work to optimize vehicle performance
• Assist fellow mechanics/team members in performing technical activities
• Maintain an organized and neat work areas
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety and environmental rules
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications will be:

• Must have good mechanical ability
• Strong work ethic with ability to prioritize, work conscientiously, with limited supervision
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles and equipment
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems
• Be able to focus on a task at hand and ignore distractions
• Motivated to complete jobs
• Strong communication skills
• Organized
• Attention to detail
• Dependable
• Team player
• A history of work stability.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus
• Be able to take direction and complete tasks as required
• Knowledge of the Stone industry helpful

Experience:

• At least 2-3 years of strong automotive and equipment mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience

Requirements:
