Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Heavy Equipment OperatorJob DescriptionThe role involves operating heavy equipment on construction sites, including bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, and front-end loaders. Operators must be comfortable working both inside and outside the cab to perform various duties related to site preparation and material handling.ResponsibilitiesOperate heavy machinery such as dozers, excavators, and loaders to move earth, debris, and materials.Excavate and grade land according to project specifications using equipment.Prepare sites by clearing land, removing obstacles, and ensuring proper groundwork for construction.Handle materials by loading, transporting, and distributing dirt, gravel, and rock.Perform daily inspections, minor repairs, and routine maintenance to keep machinery in top condition.Essential SkillsProficiency in grading, dozer, excavator, and front-end loader operation.Experience in commercial construction and site development.Knowledge in operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers and motor graders.Ability to perform fine grading and rough grading tasks.Minimum of 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience.2-3+ years experience operating excavators, dozers, and front-end loaders.Additional Skills & QualificationsComfortable occasionally working outside the cab.Flexibility to work at multiple job sites within the Richmond Metro area.Why Work Here?The company has a rich history of 80 years and prides itself on high employee retention.
