Join us and help shape the future of Lhoist North America.POSITION SUMMARY: The employee is responsible for helping in the drilling and blasting hauling and loading of shot rock to the primary crusher knowledge and ability to operate crusher and to perform some maintenance of crushing system. Employee will also be asked to help and assist at the Rail Facility as needed to load rail cars unload rail cars and transport lime from Plant to Rail if needed (CDL required).RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:Heavy Equipment OperationSafe operation of mobile equipmentAbide by all company policies and proceduresAbide by all State and Federal lawsPreventive Maintenance on EquipmentPerform pre-shift inspection on equipment prior to operationFuel equipment as needed and properly log all fuel requiredReport or fix all items found during pre-shift inspectionPerform preventive maintenance on truck when needed with preventive maintenance being:Change oil and check fluidsLubricateChange filtersTire maintenanceQuarry OperationsSafe operation of the crushing/screening/conveying systemPerform routine maintenance both preventive and corrective on quarry equipmentMaintain housekeeping to support crushing system such as:Painting and shoveling of catwalks/handrailsReplacing idlersTracking beltsSplicing beltsChanging out ScreenQuality Control Follow directions and dump mined ore in designated location as directedGathering of drill shaving samples rail car samples and other belt samples from the crushing system.SafetyAttend scheduled safety meetingsMaintain a clean and safe work environmentComplete Pre-shift inspections on any assigned Heavy Equipment and submit to Plant OperatorPromote safety among co-workersFollow all safety policies and proceduresATTRIBUTES:Fulfill all requirements and possess ability to pass back ground check for ATF Explosives license.Self-motivated and must be able to work independentlyDetailed knowledge and understanding of over the road heavy equipment operation and safety requirementsMust be capable of working shift work overtime seven days or holidays if needed including nights.Ability to occasionally lift/carry 45 pounds.Demonstrated skills heavy equipment operation a plus but minimum as demonstrated for an over the road haul truckHistory of safe operation of vehicle as demonstrated on driving recordPHYSICAL DEMANDS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Must be capable of working shift work overtime seven days or holidays if needed including nights.Ability to occasionally lift/carry 45 pounds.Demonstrated skills heavy equipment operation a plus but minimum as demonstrated for an over the road haul truckHistory of safe operation of vehicle as demonstrated on driving recordWorking at heights and along high wallREQUIRED EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED equivalent.PREFFERED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree CDLREQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year experience industrial experience is preferredPREFFERED EXPERIENCE: 3 years heavy equipmentLhoist North America is proud to offer a highly competitive compensation package designed to support your well-being and future.Our benefits include comprehensive medical dental vision life and disability insurance along with paid vacation and sick also offer an attractive 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with a generous Employer Match as well as a Supplemental Contribution based on your Years of Service to help you plan confidently for the future.
