Maricopa County is also required to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for positions that directly impact commercial motor vehicle safety but may not specifically require a valid CDLJob ContributionsOperate a variety of medium to large-sized construction and maintenance equipment/vehicles in accordance with all safety regulations and proceduresPlan and prioritize work tasks; read and interpret plans drawings and specificationsPerform heavy manual labor assignments as needed and assist work crews as requiredComplete required daily logs and prepare reports; attend safety meetings and other required meetings and mandatory trainingHaul materials and transport vehicles and equipment to job sites using various trucksOther job duties as assignedWorking ConditionsExerting 50 - 100 pounds occasionally 10 - 25 pounds frequently or up to 10 - 20 pounds constantlyPosition is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditionsIncumbent may be subjected to moving mechanical parts vibrations fumes odors dusts poor ventilation chemicals oils extreme temperatures inadequate lighting workspace restrictions intense noises and travelCDL Selection ProcedureOnly the most qualified candidates will be consideredConsideration will be extended exclusively to candidates who submit their applications through our online platformCandidates will primarily be contacted via email and their Workday online application profileSuccessful candidates must undergo a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy.
